Amazon says my copy of Back to the Story shipped on Oct 25. Wonder how long it will take to get to me in Baltimore? Watching and listening to video of Jeff playing some piano driven tunes with IR and The Move got me wondering what instrument he starts with when he writes an ELO song? Piano melody, vocal melody, guitar riff or just a feeling that he wants to evoke? I remember AITU was prompted by a story on the news about a satellite. I think "Do Ya" started with the guitar riff. "When we was Fab" started at the piano after a few drinks with George. So perhaps there is no single way for Jeff to begin to compose.
