Queeny! That complete Octave change in to first 5 seconds went through me like a knife! Was there something wrong with the download or is that on the original? It was as Jeff puts it "FANBLOODYTASTIC"!!! Love it! Where has this been all my life! Blasting it out in the studio here! I'm not even sure what an octave is but I would imagine it's on purpose. I love Greg and that track. When I was younger it was Greg's 'I Believe in Father Christmas' and Roy Wood's festive classic that were my favourite songs at Christmas. Greg's song is quite an alarming tune for the season, a bit incongruous, which is probably why I loved it. There aren't many scary Christmas tracks out there. It also helped that it featured this from Prokofiev -
I love Russian music. Thanks! Here's the Jeff Lynne of Russian music, Tchaikovsky -

Possibly the best ever Christmas song not sung by a man called Roy or Noddy -

This one I listen to all the year round. Be warned, it's a bit of an earworm, though.

And now for one of my exquisite jokes:
I got one of those Dyson Ball Cleaners for Christmas. Unfortunately, I misunderstood what it was, which is why I'm now in casualty...

Download this song from 14th December to make it number one in the UK and beat the X Factor The hell is this, H W? John Otway is an acquired taste but he was one of the first acts I saw with my brother when he smuggled me into a pub with him in Birmingham back in the 70s. He is Rock and Roll's greatest failure. He has a great fan base who by fair and foul means get him hits and a movie against all the odds. www.otwaythemovie.com
