Richard Tandy - because he is a dignified and talented musician. Because he has been a loyal collaborator and sidekick of Jeff's for many years. Because he had a career before Jeff and apart from Jeff. And because he may not have been a founding member of ELO, but he made his mark and today is just as much the personification of the ELO sound as Jeff is.
They're all worthy candidates, it's really hard to choose.
But I'm going to stick by Hugh McD because he was such a live wire on stage and helped give the band a visual lift whilst playing an instrument not normally part of a rock act. Plus he's such an interesting character - I bet he'd be full of hilarious stories and he's the one I'd most like to meet.
It's all good entertainment, it doesn't cost a penny
Hugh McDowell. Like I said every time I voted for him, for being the first bad-boy cellist.
BTW, Horace, I regret the fact that you decided to leave that wild card without effect. Does it have to do with your wife finding out the true reason behind the refurbishing of the bathroom? Did she ever catch you with a look on your face like... like... like Jeff's!?
No wonder the man was screwing up the lyrics all over...
BSJ: Is this a restaurant you visit?

eloneen: Just got my booster shot (high risk of exposure as a teacher)! I hope it doesn't hit me as hard as dose #2 did, but it would still be worth it!

eloneen: So happy about my booster shot! Still feeling good. I had expectations of curling up in bed, taking Tylenol, and just pushing my way through some unpleasant side effects. What a nice surprise! I have only very mild soreness at the injection site.

Horacewimp: That’s good to hear eloneen, Mrs Wimp has had a message while we were on holiday regarding booking her booster, I’m somewhat further down the list.

eloneen: Horacewimp I hope her experience is as uneventful as mine!

orioles70: we're spending the weekend on a 1000m mountain in the Blue Ridge in Virginia, Fall has arrived with 70 mph gusts and a 25 degree drop in temps, if we're lucky a tree will blow down and make us stay an extra day

Horacewimp: Have a great and safe trip.

eloneen: Enjoy the fall colors! We've said many times that we want to take a "fall colors" trip to the mountains here in NC to take in the breathtaking scenery, but we have mainly gone out that way in spring or summer. Please share photos with us orioles70!

Timeblue: Are you on the trail of the lonesome pine?
Oct 18, 2021 16:14:32 GMT
eloneen: I'm not. I'm in the central part of NC, but there are soooo many pines, so they're not lonesome ...but maybe your question was for orioles70?
Oct 18, 2021 22:58:55 GMT
orioles70: Timeblue - are you talking about that ancient movie? Never seen it. But we love the mountains. Skiing, hiking, craft breweries in every valley and way more trees than people.

Timeblue: I'm thinking of the Laurel and Hardy song 'The Trail of the Lonesome Pine'
