As a keyboardist (of sorts) I have to go for Richard. (Also, I once owned a Tandy synth - Realistic Moog Concertmate.)

This is tough! I love Richard! Who doesn't love Richard? But I also love Mik, he's my favorite violinist in the world. I should vote for Richard because he's been around longer than Mik however, I can't stand the thought of Micky only receiving 2 votes so I'm voting for him. As for Chereene....really?

Helmut, I'm not picking on anyone for voting for her. I'm simply wondering how she made the list of favorite ELO members.....At least, that was not my intention but now that I really think about it....Yeah! I can't for the life of me figure out how a person can cast their vote for her just because of her smile and not vote for Richard or Mik when they've been with ELO for years. A smile trumps years of talent? What is this poll coming to? People will just start to run amuck voting for someone because his name is spelled correctly, or because she likes sardine sandwiches or because he didn't suck his thumb while waiting his cue to play. Do you see where this could lead??? Stop the insanity!

Come on, Eloise, do you really think I considere Mrs. Allen more important for ELO than Richard Tandy? If we are going to be serious, we all knew since the beginning that this whole contest comes down to Bev Bevan, Richard Tandy and Kelly Groucutt, being the odds in that order, but what's the fun of adding yet another predictable vote to the participant that has almost all of them and that will be the obvious winner? If I don't add some variety and create some starting points for comments and discussion, this would be incredibly monotonous and predictable.

Ah, you just added that final part of the comment and I could only see it when I posted mine. Without that I hadn't caught the irony in your words. And I wouldn't say smiles trump years of talent... but in the case of Chereene's smile, yes it does.

Fine! The truth is, I voted for Mik 'cause I like the way he ties his shoes. Seriously though, I'd really like to see Hugh win.

In a votation where Mik Kaminski is present? Take the blue violin off of your avatar next time you vote like that... Yes Sir! I guess my avatar IS a little misleading. Mik is no where near my favorite member. I do like his groovy blue violin though.

That's a very valid reason, my lady.

I think Chereene has as good a chance as any to win the contest. And Bev, Richard and Kelly should have as good a chance of losing too. The contest title is, after all, "Favourite Member" and not "Best Member" . Roy, for instance, may not have been the best example of an ELO musician due to his short stay but that doesn't have to stop him winning on the basis he was a champion wig wearer. Same as Hugh - he was never a "full-timer" like Richard and Bev yet he is an incredibly popular character.

Wonder what the McDowell-meister is doing these days?
I remember him being in an occasional string group called Quorum, other than that I suppose it's session work. In between leading a crazy rockstar life of course.
