Love the Flaming Lips, they're something really different and have a sense of humour which lots of bands are lacking

tributes from songwriters marking Lennon's 80th birthday for some reason the link to the article won't paste properly, but if you type in John Lennon to the search window you'll see several items come up from the site's multi-day tribute to John americansongwriter.com/

brand new song from Starbelly, The Ballad of Baltimore these guys went 10 years without putting out an album, but in the last year they've put out an album ("Four"), added a single with Roger Manning as guest vocalist and now this political anthem (for those not paying attention to American politics, Trump has singled out Baltimore for special abuse) starbellyfour.bandcamp.com/track/ballad-of-baltimore

I just discovered this recently and I find it absolutely hysterical!!! I wish I had seen this when it aired on TV. There are a number of follow ups to it, too. I love the Bee Gees, and "Nights on Broadway" is such a fun song... This is just brilliant!

Daft Punk is one of those bands where ELO is mentioned as an influence. 394 Million views for this video! I wonder - how many are because of the song, how many are because of the video, how many are due to complicated algorithms prompting people to watch?
it's kind of cute how the wax statues fall in love, but ... not 394 Million kind of cute the many mysteries of viral videos

does anyone else watch Rick Beato's videos? honestly, he's not always the most interesting guy to listen to but he does have excellent taste and encyclopedic knowledge. Usually he's talking guitars, but in this one he runs down the 20 most iconic vocal intros to songs. See if you agree with his #1 (I do).

the Nashville Christmas morning bomber chose this happy tune to go out with he gave away his house and his car, told an ex girlfriend he had cancer, told a client he was retiring, took the RV downtown and played this song right before the big boom - at least he took precautions to avoid killing anyone else, just made a huge mess and spoiled a very nice song

It's quite a story, good that he tried to make sure nobody else was hurt but someone still had to clear up the results.

I knew before I even started watching the video what #1 would be. And it was.
