I promised photos of the impressive snow fall we are having here in central North Carolina today. Here are two photos taken this afternoon from my back door looking into my neighbors' back yard. And it's still coming down steadily! Attachment Deleted2:30 PM 4:00 PM

....and that's your neighbours 'back yard'? wow, looks stunning! That diagonal indentation (which looks like a little ditch normally) separates their property from ours. Most of the houses in our neighborhood have large, flat back yards with no trees. Some people put up fences for privacy and some really enhance the little patio area for outdoor entertaining. Since we don't spend a lot of time relaxing outdoors, we don't have pets, and our son is a teenager now, we didn't bother with a fence. At our old house, we had a smaller, but really beautiful wooded lot. There was a lot of raking of leaves and pine needles, which we don't miss. It was really lovely in the spring when the dogwoods would bloom, though. When my parents came to live with us, we moved to a bigger, new house with handicap accessibility features to accommodate them and their needs. The good thing about having a lot like yours is that you do have privacy, and you don't have to spend so much time doing yard work, or keeping the grass looking nice, which is our current struggle.

*hands you one of my shovels* I think we are going to wait for it to melt. It will be 57F on Saturday and 63F on Sunday!

Given the choice eloneen, I'd rather have your plot rather than mine!

This works fine for us now. We were more interested in the house itself (and a flat lot for safety reasons for my parents) when we were looking to move. When it's just Hubby and me one day down the road, we will probably be looking for a place with a back yard just like yours!

....and that's your neighbours 'back yard'? wow, looks stunning! Timeblue The property lines end before the wooded area begins. All those trees are not on our property!
