I'll start the list, add your ONE song to it. And then we'll figure out how to compile and burn it, since I'm too cheap to make the CDs and send them out and pay the postage. blah blah blah
But let's get this list going, just copy below the line, paste, and add to the list, and once we get 20 or so, we can figure out how to make it, package it, and get a copy to everyone. Any volunteers? I'm willing to send a few bucks postage money for someone to mail it, for my part.
BTW, what should we call it, and what will we as a band be called? The songs don't have to be in the order as listed, so we or whoever makes the CD can decide on that.
Also, for my part, I don't mind if somone has a really long song, but what if we try to keep them to a reasonable length, to keep room for everyone and ideally keep it to one CD?

I wish I could contribute Jim but I have zero music ability and have not recorded anything, however I'm happy to help in burning and CD distribution.

No problem, we'll just mark you down for singing a solo! Actually, I'll bet you could come up with a good one if you tried. Come on, we'e won't laugh, we're all amateurs to some degree I'm sure, I konow I certainly am. Jim

Ha! What an idiot I am! For a moment I thought you were proposing to record our own original songs and put them all together...
In any case, why don't we play this game more seriously? Let's record one original song of ours. I can do the mix/edition/production and you guys have to record the voices and different instruments and send the audio files to me. Anyone dares? Do you, Jim? We could start with your "Kennedy drive", I'm sure it is a potential massive hit.

Will you need a cowbell? Hey, seriously do it, it couldn't be any worse than the "Metal machine" album by Lou Reed of nothing but weird static noises. Try it, for real. I'd like to hear what you come up with. Jim

And for the record those are the ONLY two recorded songs of mine that I ever sang on. Other than that I have about 25 or so instrumentals recorded, with just one track of me and my guitar. Jim

Come on guys, let's get at least 5 songs on here and then call it a project! Ten would be ideal, but five will do.
What do you say, some of you musicians out there?
I'm excited to hear peoples' stuff! Will be a blast, come on, join the fun!

Will you need a cowbell? Now only a cowbell, also a cow. I would love to add some cow "moohs" to my song. Can you take charge of that too?

If we can pull that off successfully, then we could try another, but let's see if we can do it with one first, which is enough complicated if no one here is a musician. Like I said, I volunteer for the mix. Count on me for a harmonica too. Then, if you are missing other instruments and we have no one playing them I can cover for guitars, latin percussion, keyboard and bass. Don't count on me for the voices though, I'm horrible at singing. Now I'm going to open my email and listen to your stuff.

In any case, if cow is impossible, cowbell is OK for me then.

Alright, sounds good, we'll do it your way Helmut, since you are taking the ambition to mix it, etc. I think there was some confusion on my initial idea, which was just for people to send in one of their own songs finished as is, and then we would put them all on a CD for everyone to hear. But your idea is fine for now, so let's go with that! Jim

But your idea is fine for now, so let's go with that! Jim As you preferr! I said that because I imagine most people here can't compose and record songs on their own, but could contribute with certain bits, like the lyrics, the singing, a cowbell, a tambourine or something if we did a song all together, and only like that hey could be part of the game. I want Horace, BSJ & Co. to join in, so if they can't write a whole song, adding something would be the way. Also, I want to avoid the embarassment of having to sing in my own song.
