I hope everyone had a safe and trouble free Xmas........unlike me. Last night whilst boiling the kettle to make a cuppa,I went to switch it off at the wall socket (you Americans don't have these switches) after it had boiled but the steam was still there and my wrist is now de -skinned.I have just returned from the chemist and had it cleaned up and dressed. I wasn't even drunk.....

Sorry about it, Timeblue. Burning yourself is probably the worst sort of pain there is.

Oh, no Timeblue - sounds awful. Take it easy while you're healing up. I recommend watching lots of footage of an ELO concert. A well-known remedy for all ills. No!!! Don't hold up a lighter....!

Ew, commiserations for your pain Timeblue, burns are nasty jobs and kettles can be tricky little tinkers. Lucky you have a skilful local pharmacist to sort you out, and now for your recovery you have full access to the "medicine" cabinet

Spoiled kid you are, Timeblue, to have so many pretty ladies pampering you! I feel like the odd one out here...

No, I said I was the odd one out because out of all the people pampering him I'm the only one who's not a pretty lady.

Pain wise,it isn't too bad really but to look at the injury it made me queasy! the skin immediately peeled off leaving it all wet. I've had smaller burns that have been more excrutiatingly painful. Hey, I'm a bloke and I'll soldier on through (manflu is far worse.....)

Ouch! What a slap on the wrist. Dr Babyzoomer prescribes copious quantities of oral antiseptic - perhaps with added nourishment of hops......
