Just to balance things up a little, some of my faves are not Xmas songs per se but were issued at Xmas such as In Dulce Jubilo by Mike Oldfield, but I like the 70s Xmas songs like Lonely This Christmas by Mud, I Believe In Father Christmas by Greg Lake.

Not strictly Christmassy but I've always liked this one. And it is a winter song, and was a hit at Christmas time.

Here's a nice one, one of Hubby's favorites. I like it, too. He's a jazz fan, so he likes this cover better than the original by the Pretenders.

And other than the festive offerings from the ELO family such as Tom Petty and Roy Wood I also love those by Lennon, Slade, Pretenders, David Essex and Phil Spector's Christmas album (especially 'Sleigh Ride'). I like 'The Power of Love' by Frankie Goes to Hollywood too, even if it's not a proper Christmas tune it does have a Christmas video. But my guilty favourite has to be 'A Spaceman Came Travelling' by Chris de Burgh.
In my head Christmas does not officially start until I hear the Jona Lewie's 'Stop the Cavalry'.
No Christmas is complete without Tchaikovsky though, and a bit of Berlioz -

As well as most of the above*, I like I'm Not Dreaming of a White Christmas by Gilbert O'Sullivan and I LOVE the cheeky Christmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End) by The Darkness. Not only a great song but a hilarious video too.
*except Christmas Wrapping, I find it unreasonably irritating and have to turn it off if it comes on the radio. I think it might be the lacklustre way the vocals are delivered.

"Father Christmas" by the Kinks. Oh, and this little known gem by Everything but the Girl....

I own Bob's Christmas album this song comes from and it's fantastic! It's horrible and wonderful at the same time. I highly recommend it. I was nice and brought it into work and the philistines I work with hated it.

Do I sound like an old grouch if I say I hate all Christmas songs? Anyway, not that I'm going to fool anyone here if I act otherwise, you already know me, so... ...yes, I hate every single corny, cheesy, greasy, tacky Christmas song. My five cents to the discussion.
