So why did they get top billing when arguably ELO were the bigger name? Also it was Bev who did most of the promoting too. Also I remember being disappointed when the Move didn't reform for the gig, anyone know why? Roy Jeff and Bev would have been friends then so I guess it was Carl Wayne's call.....

I think that the Moody's probably would have called a bigger crowd as the albums after '78's Octave album steered the Moody's away from the Mike Pinder mellotron sound of the 70's to a new pop sound popular in the 80's y up until '86 they had a surprising uprise again after the likes of "Long distance voyager" and Sur La Mer" so with the obvious breakdown in the ELO camp and the success of the '80's for Justin and Co its no real surprise from a marketing point of view it probably made sense at the time? Anyway it's the dream gig of all time for me ELO and the Moody clan playing the same venue?!!!! Ah heaven!

Wasn't 1986 the year they released The Other Side Of Life? That album was a worldwide smash, so it explains why they were the headliners.
