Gonna go see the old boy? Naw...I'm saving my hard-earneds for the real deal (if it eva happens!).
ELO came to Perth for two shows in Feb '78; doesn't look like he'll be back for the 40-year-anniversary. Maybe 50's a charm?
50 is definitely a longshot. JL might surprise his Aussie fans with a show or two after he rests up from the American tour. These US shows were a pleasant surprise for me, at least. One can always hope!

For those of you who have attended multiple shows on the last tour, or would know details about the setlist: Is it exactly the same list for every show- every song the same in exactly the same order every night of the tour? Just wondering as I look forward to next summer's US Tour.

Just wondering as I look forward to next summer's US Tour. On the last tour the set list stayed nearly the same every night, if I remember correctly sometime Strange Magic was played and other times CGIOOMH. A couple of the tracks from Alone in the Universe were also swopped around.

Maybe that's why Jeff changes between them? I know they are both totally different but when you are swaying along and enjoying the experience you don't even remember which song is which anymore!

Two extra dates added: The Forum LA - Sunday, August 5 Madison Square Garden NYC - Wednesday, August 22 OMG! What fabulous news this is. I'm a little pissed off that I don't have enough money left to try and score another ticket but this means that US sales have been good which makes me so incredibly happy. Oh, heck! maybe I'll just sell my house, buy a van, airbrush a spaceship on the side of it and follow the ELO tour around the country. You go Jeffrey!!!!

It is fabulous news!!! It's nice to think that JL might even tack more shows on after the last gig in Philly, but even if he adds a show in the southeast after the Philly date, I don't think I would be able to go (unless it's in NC, and that's not going to happen). I'm flying home to NC on Saturday, and school starts that Monday. I'm glad I'm getting this one opportunity, at least!

So I thought there was no way Jeff would come close to selling out MSG and know they are putting a second night on sale. I think this is pushing it. But I have been wrong on all my predictions so lets see if my streak continues. BTW, I have kept a close eye on the shows in the US where ticketmaster shows exactly what seats have been sold. For all shows there are a bunch of seats on the side of the stage that have not been sold so I have ignored those for the purposes of my calculations
Oakland, CA - Poorest selling of the shows. Probably only 60% - 70% of seats sold. Dallas , TX - 90% of tickets sold Chicago, IL - Over 95% of tickets sold Detroit, MI - Between 90 - 95% of tickets sold New York, NY - About 98% of tickets sold
The LA Forum does not show status of each seat but it appears to be over 95% sold.
Given the cost of the seats (not cheap) and no supporting act I did not think he would sell enough tickets to these large arenas. I am happily wrong.

If anyone from team Jeff visits this forum, please take note. There are plenty of ELO- Jeff fans here in the southeast. Atlanta is an international city. It has great concert venues. It is only a couple of hours from me. Hint, Hint!
