Cliff performing yesterday for National Public Radio Day about 10 miles from my place. I'd like to catch him sometime when he's playing with his band: Cliff Hillis & The Forward Thinkers. I did get to see him w/ Starbelly a year ago.
5 songs starting out with his latest single. Now with vocals synched to video.

A little curio from around 1981. Roy, Bev, Phil Lynott and Chas and Dave(!). I vaguely remember this and think it was from OTT, the short-lived, late-night "adult" version of kids' show TISWAS.

another surprise from The Acetaters
Phil Bates, Port in a Storm, with Bev, Kelly & Mik at Tamworth Castle (got no idea where that is, but perhaps our UK members know it well)

A bit like where we live in Normanton, there are a lot of people that work in Leeds ( 15 minutes along the M62) that live here...

I'm planning a trip to Florida next month and the details are fitting together nicely. I'll get to see my Orioles at a Spring Training game and I'll also see The Orchestra playing on a coastal island just south of Tampa.

I'm quadrupling up on Orchestra related music next month. Got Cliff's new EP, backed Hux's kickstarter for his new album, going to see Glen play with The Weeklings in a couple of weeks and then I'll see The Orchestra when I go down to Florida on vacation next month.
Here's Glen and band doing their Beatles rooftop thing in Asbury Park, NJ

Jim Hoban (ELO Jim) posted this on FB to mark Kelly's passing. First time I'd heard this stripped down version.

You're right - it was indeed the Tap and Tackle... For the record, I was stood further down Carleton Street (outside the Co-Op, to be precise), and I could still name that tune in one! Went in there last week with a few friends, one of whom had an app on his phone that controls the jukebox. Don't ask me how it works but it was fun compiling a play list whilst we had a few pints. Anyway, I chose The Way Life's Meant To Be and Yours Truly 2095!
