A place for any/all appearances, music etc. of former or related ELO personnel (however distantly or tenuously related they may be!)
I'll start the ball rolling as I just heard Angel Fingers on Gold.

Here's a great clip of The Move performing Fire Brigade, live on what looks like, possibly, The Old Grey Whistle Test (?) (It's certainly from the same show that they did the more commonly shown version of Blackberry Way, featuring Trevor Burton hilariously scowling his way through the song he hated so much! ) And love Carl's "Oooh's" Pop Go the Sixties, Series 1: The Move: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b008bxxt via @bbciplayer

And he'd got all dressed up for it too! They also really loved those frame-filling (though not necessarily flattering) extreme close-ups that they would hold for ages.

I was very surprised to hear ELO Part II's Thousand Eyes blasting out from a pub while shopping in Castleford town centre over the weekend - that snare drum crack near the end was literally reverberating down the street, and it definitely put a smile on my face to hear this relatively obscure song getting wider public exposure!

Which pub was it coming from? Tap and Tackle, Lamplighter or The Junction?

I reckon it was the Tap and Tackle, the Junction doesn't have a jukebox....

You're right - it was indeed the Tap and Tackle... For the record, I was stood further down Carleton Street (outside the Co-Op, to be precise), and I could still name that tune in one!

I once asked a dj in the Junction back in the 80's to play any ELO, not expecting anything to be played I was pleasantly surprised when he played Sweet Talking Woman!

Stretching things a bit perhaps, but yesterday was Denny Laine's 73rd birthday- late of the Moody Blues and Wings and of course, Bev's old band,Denny Laine and the Diplomats.

Top 40 Wizzard tunes was a question on Pointless yesterday in the final, the contestants didn't pick that subject.

Off the top of my head,I would have picked 'Are You Ready To Rock'as a pointless answer.
