I have to revive this thread. It was either reviving it or creating another called "Rage at Jeff being overlooked... yet AGAIN (or again part 2)", and I opted for the first option. Today my mother sent to the WhatsApp group I have with my family a video of the version of "My sweet Lord" they did at the Concert for George. Together with the video there came quite a long explanation which I'm going to translate as literally as I can, typos and bad grammatical forms included: " ● On the acoustic guitar: Eric Clapton:
● On the electric guitar: George Harrison's son;
● On piano: Paul McCartney:
● On the first drums: Ringo Star (sic);
● On the second drums: Phil Collins;
● On the second electric guitar: Tom Petty;
● On organ and interpreting the first voice the incredible: Billy Preston;
Among the vocalist of the choir there's Linda Eastman, Paul McCartney's wife. Present in this concert there were also:
- Bob Dylan; - The genius Ravi Shankar, Norah Jones' father, fruit of his relationship with jazz singer Etta Jones; - Jethro Tull and a big number of friends and colleagues of the Beatles, as well as the whole group "The Cream" (again, sic), of the spectacular Eric Clapton.
All of them incarnating the best of the best and most representative of the '70s decade.
Billy Preston was known as the fifth Beatle. It was him who Always played piano and organ in all of the Beatles' recordings.
"My Sweet Lord" is until today the most successful single in music history and it's sales have never been matched.
Enjoy!!!" (next comes the video) Besides all the inexactitudes and the false data, aren't we forgetting someone...? You are not using the big flamethrower right now, are you, elophile? Could you lend it to me for the day?

Aaaaaaaarrrrgggghhhh! (pants heavily, counts to 10 - 10 times!). I must remain calm... I must not tear off all my clothes and run rampant (I'd need a little blue pill for that) through the village chopping heads off at random!!
Time for a bex and a lay down....

How is 'My Sweet Lord' the most successful single ever?

The Concert for George was in 2002 -- this time in music just sucked. It might as well have been the 90's which (apart from The Pixies) sucked too. The attitude at this time was the antithesis of Jeff. That concert drives me crazy!! The way the camera can't even keep on Jeff while he's singing but keeps drifting over to Clapton that damn cokehead! Where's my...? {Spoiler} Oh, here it is!

How is 'My Sweet Lord' the most successful single ever? Ridiculous. And there's even worse: Billy Preston played piano and organ in all of the Beatles' recordings. WTF??? And Bob Dylan wasn't in that concert.

On the new TV channel I found, CCXTV or something, they have a celebrity profile programme. I forget what it's called but it looks like it was made 20 years ago. Anyway, one of the profiles was on the Beatles and in the George Harrison segment the Wilburys were mentioned. I might as well stop typing now because you know where this is going. It seems the person who wrote the script for the show only had enough ink for three other names. Fair enough, I mean Jeff is his own worst enemy having a name containing four full letters when Bob, Tom and Roy are considerate enough to be shorter-named.

It didn't take me long at all to find the blasphemous author's website and email address. Guess what! He's still on AOL!
