Very cool sound Chippa. Smooth vocals. The finish kicks ass. You hit the same notes as, and sound, like Elvis. Amazing.

Thanks folks! I must admit I may have had a sip or three of the aforementioned Rum before doing this take. I just wanted to be in the right "spirit". I should probably give credit to the others on the song, since they're the real musicians here. Cory did the guitars and production Taylor and Katie (two lovely sisters) did the backing vocals Erik played bass DJ manned the drums Maybe this version will be a standard, someday..ha!

Anyone looking for a last-minute Christmas card for that special friend or relative? Then look no further. Just print this out and present it to your chosen person. (Of course, it will probably go down better if you haven't been driving them mad by playing them ELO music all year long...)

This has got to be the best Christmas card I've received this year. One of my colleagues knows me well!

If you have not heard of David Sedaris or heard The Santaland Diaries, you are in for a treat! Mr. Sedaris is a central NC native, writer and humorist whose sister Amy Sedaris is a TV sitcom actress. Playing this little recording of David Sedaris reading from The Santaland Diaries has been an annual Christmas tradition on NPR in the US for the past 25 years. It is irreverent, biting, and absolutely hilarious and charming at the same time. I've heard it over a dozen times and it still makes me laugh out loud every year. Enjoy! www.npr.org/2017/12/22/572791717/the-25th-anniversary-of-david-sedaris-reading-santaland-diaries

I usually don't mind so much when no one responds to something I post. But folks, this is REALLY FUNNY!!! I know everyone's sense of humor is different, but you won't regret it. My brother was in stitches last night hearing it for the first time. Have a listen! www.npr.org/2017/12/22/572791717/the-25th-anniversary-of-david-sedaris-reading-santaland-diariesEdit: Just saw that unomusette just liked it!

"Santa said, oh, little elf, little elf, come sing "Away In The Manger" for us. It didn't seem fair that I should have to solo, so I sang it the way Billie Holiday might have sang if she'd put out a Christmas album.......Santa did not allow me to finish" I can just picture the scene!
