well..sure am glad i didnt read this garb back in 2007....Rob Mitchum...what a dick....clearly has no idea what elo was about if he goes round saying.... By this, his seventh album, Lynne had developed the idea far beyond the cheesy primordial mashups like his "Roll Over Beethoven" cover (excepting the silly throwback "Birmingham Blues") ...cheesy...RoB....you are kidding me right....i cant not make comment about how offensive i find that remark, clearly the bloke was about 25, im guessing, when he wrote that....its usually the same with groups like elo...young guys writing contrite shit about tracks that were made even before they were born.... and...mitchum...you have your opinion...and i will have mine.... I'm just so proud of you all finding your inner hatred for the nonce that some knobs write and print....in the words of Lord Palpatine...."yes young Luke (ELO fan) thats it feel the anger rising within you! Let it out! Strike them down!

We are passionate people, Rob. Our blood boils at low temperatures and we aren't very fond of middle grounds. Trust me, you're not changing perceptions. I still have a scar left by one of your careless (or overzealous) lady cousins.
... which was aquired during a tee ball game, you understand. 'Those were the days.Of all the possible replies the guy next to me could have given me, the one you say would have been the best, of course. In that case, the reason I would have grabbed the bottle is to fill that gentleman's glass and drink in the honour of good music. But if you read the first paragraph of my rant (as defined by jefflynnenut) you will realize the guy had other options which wouldn't have significantly altered my mood. He just happened to step in the only wrong hole there was. Fair enough. I've changed my mind and think you should have killed him.
Speaking of which, what's horribly wrong with a (most likely) casual fan grouping the Cars or Supertramp with ELO? Those three groups were active and most well known during the same general time period, after all.And hey, spell check your messege, my friend. With so many people wanting the "d" these days, forgetting about the "d" seems almost like an act of flaunt. ... as in suppose[d]? Thanks for pointing that out... it only took me five careful rereads of my short post to spot it.

I've almost written a book explaining what was horribly wrong and you ask me about it? Man, I had just calmed myself down. Don't get me started again with the level of complexity and all those explanations. ... as in suppose[d]? Thanks for pointing that out... it only took me five careful rereads of my short post to spot it. Yes, the final "d" of the word "supposed" (it was past tense, wasn't it?). I was speaking about that. The whole time. And hey, talking about latino ladies: are you keen on them?

Don't get me started again with the level of complexity and all those explanations. Okay, okay... 'no need to break a blood vessel. I was just trying to empathize with your misinformed acquaintance. One hopes you didn't murder him in your imagination any more than ten times. To be honest, I've mentioned ELO in a similar manner throughout the years... and have also always liked the track "Mamma Mia", by the tragic and pathetic way. And hey, talking about latino ladies: are you keen on them? Errr... this is a difficult question to answer. What I meant by "Latins" was someone of Spanish, French, Italian blood, etc. As for who I picture when you say latino ladies: why they're just swell... perhaps even more hot blooded and difficult to deal with, if that's possible. What's your take?

I wonder which bands you named them along with... but leave it there, maybe it's better not to know. Errr... this is a difficult question to answer. What I meant by "Latins" was someone of Spanish, French, Italian blood, etc. As for who I picture when you say latino ladies: why they're just swell... perhaps even more hot blooded and difficult to deal with, if that's possible. What's your take? Well, that meaning of "Latin" is correct in my opinion, and I'm glad to find an American who is aware of the mistake they make when they say that Mexicans are "latinos". In my particular case, I am more latino than most others who are called "latinos", as I descend from both Portuguese and Spanish ancestors (besides having a good share of German blood too), but I probably wouldn't be considered a latino in the US other than by nationality because I haven't got any native American blood. In last instance, any Lazio native could claim the only true latinos are them. Going to the ladies' talk, no, latino girls aren't typically my favourites types. Throughout the years I have found out I have a soft spot for German and Nordic girls, particularly the big ones. They may seem a bit rough and intimidating at first, but when they finally open their heart to you they can be surprisingly sweet and tender.

This is staring to sound like an on line dating agency. ...or maybe a latino lady fanciers forum. It was more fun when it was filled with venom and the occasional ultra violent fantasy carried out upon unsuspecting music ignorance. ...please feel free (anyone) to upload another bullshit review off all things ELO to spark the anger once again!

Slightly off at a tangent here but what really pisses me off is when you get into a conversation with someone about music, they tell you their favourite band(s), you mention a song of said band, and they invariably come back with "Oh that's the worst song they ever made".
Now don't get me wrong, when I say that my favourite band is ELO, they often say "Oh, didn't they sing Mr Blue Sky". My reply is along the lines of "yes, that's their most famous song but not the best". I certainly don't say its the crappest song they ever made.
Sorry, back on topic................................

Helmut, do you like One Way Love? written and produced by Jeff for Agnetha Faltskog of Abba. Can someone post an attachment of this song, I'm none too technical.

That's not an ELO fan, not a true one! I wonder which bands you named them along with... but leave it there, maybe it's better not to know. Maybe so. It is past time that stop living a lie, and come to grips with being a false ELO fan... maybe then (and only then) will my soul be filled. Yeah, when I hear or read the term "latino", I think of mestizos... who, incidentally, are classified as "white" in some situations for bizarre and insidious reasons. You on the other hand, appear to be white and would be classified as such in the US. That means you wouldn't qualify for certain privileges and handouts and would be considered as having been mystically and fantastically privileged from the tragic second of your unfortunate birth. Really? The sheer physical presence of the Scandinavian chicks and women I've been around made me feel like a small child looking for his mamma amongst a sea of adults. Inadequate in other words.

Sorry, back on topic................................ Agreed, and I would even say that Out of the Blue itself is the album equivalent of "Mr. Blue Sky". Both are awesome, yet both receive more attention than is needed.

Well, not that the difference is huge either... your interlocutor could well understand the other thing. Helmut, do you like One Way Love? written and produced by Jeff for Agnetha Faltskog of Abba. Can someone post an attachment of this song, I'm none too technical. Yes, I like it. I don't like the production and general sound of the song, but other than for that I think it's a good song. Do you like it?

Really? The sheer physical presence of the Scandinavian chicks and women I've been around made me feel like a small child looking for his mamma amongst a sea of adults. Inadequate in other words. You should try them anyway if you get the opportunity. They can certainly cuddle you like a baby and they are a box of surprises, most (but not all) of them pleasant. In my case, being 1,91 metres high, tall women are not a problem for me. Furthermore, I find them more suitable for me, so I tend to like them tall and voluptuous, just like viking girls are, although I must confess that whenever there's a discussion I fear not being able to control the situation. And sorry jefflynnenut for the derailing of your thread. Let's get back to it now.
