Sir Paul gets my vote. Sheer quantity of hits, more longevity, writes his own lyrics, and good at multiple instruments.
And for all the classics on Elton John's Greatest Hits, do any match the creativity of say "Uncle Albert / Admiral Halsey"? Or "Too Many People", or "Band on the Run"?
For "Band On the Run" probably most people play the whole album through, for the people I've known.
And for the "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" album, we all hit all of side one, "Grey Seal", and the title track, and then skip over to "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting" and then maybe "Harmony". A die-hard fan might play "All the Young Girls Love Alice" on their way to side 4.
If anyone else has a different experience playing those two albums, let me know. Maybe one or two of you grinning thinking "yup, that's how it worked for me, too."
lasttrain929: Thank you eloneen, until yesterday I had never heard of these insects. They live a strange life. Not sure about Circada ice cream or pizza though, not for me.....

eloneen: Timeblue I hope you enjoy it! It was sunny and in the 90s here most of last week, with some rain. Today it's cloudy and barely making it into the 60s. Crazy NC weather! ::m1809::

orioles70: with warmer (HOT) weather, the cicadas have gotten noisy. A local news reporter used an app on her phone and said it registered in the mid 80s for dbs (hearing protection recommended). They're not quite that bad in my yard.

orioles70: I was driving to the dump today on a road called Beaver Dam Road when what should cross the road but a pair of beaver (mother and child). Guess they named that road well.
