Bwaahahahaaa! Brilliance from Mr Otway there. Wishing you a bloomin' marvellous birthday Horacewimp, enjoy your Chinese feed and here's a cake for afters, from all your adoring farmyard pals Not sure where Patrice is, probably squeezing into something rainbow-coloured and fabulous for the party

Thanks unomusette and BSJ had a great meal out and now having cheap white wine watching the TV. Had a good book on Birmingham as a present giving loads of facts, I wish I had it when Helmut came over and I was the tour guide!

Very much hope the Birmingham book lists your birthday as an Important Date in the Industrial Revolution, Horace. ELO, The Move and Idle Race are mentioned, did you know the six ways island in Erdington was the first roundabout outside London, the Aston Expressway was the most expensive road per mile when built and there is a Birmingham in Ohio.

Sounds like a great book Horacewimp, when you next run into Jeff you can amaze him with facts like this. He might even be tempted to move back. And the cheap white is uncorked! Proper party time!

Yes, there is a Birmingham city in the wilds of Ohio. It's South East from Toledo. Never been.
We also have a street name Birmingham (who doesn't) and the surrounding area hosts a 'Birmingham Ethic Festival' every year. It's the Hungarian part of town, and absolutely tasty 'Hunky' foods is sold. Chicken Paprikas, Hunky Turkey (Roasted Bacon Sandwich. Wicked good!), etc. with other ethnic foods. Over 42 years!
In what context did they write about Birmingham, Ohio?
And for y'all know who Jamie Farr is, he was born and raised that part of town.

Have a very happy birthday, Horacewimp !!! Damn, how come no one tell me, I almost missed it (though I'm still 40 minutes in time)! I hope you had an amazing day and you got to do something with your family or friends to celebrate it. I don't know what else to celebrate it with, so why not give another play of the song by excellence in honor of you and your already famous farm?

Happy birthday Horacewimp! Hope you've had a fab day, cause well, you deserve it. Thanks for letting me join the forum which seems like a lifetime ago, really enjoying myself talking to fans of ELO who are just as mad on them as I am (if not madder!) Good to hear they mentioned some fab bands in your book on Birmingham, it's a shame that us Wolvo lot don't have the musical talent of you Brummies (suppose you could class Slade and Dexy's Midnight Runners as musical talent haha)

The book lists all the other towns in the world called Birmingham BSJ and I happened to notice the one in Ohio and checked on Google Maps, I think it's between you and Cleveland. Thanks for the birthday wishes Helmut83 and wolvesgirlgonewild

Happy Birthday @horace ! Sorry it's late.
Glad you had a good day, not like the person in the song here!
