Here is some footage of a crazy interview with The Move from 1966. Enjoy. Very cute indeed. But listen guys, those tight trousers you speak of are going to waste with all that talking. Less talking, boys, and more rocking!! And frolicking... you can frolic too!!

Love the live footage, no wonder Bev hated having to do cabaret in later years Glad you enjoyed the live footage.
They were playing an Ace Kefford composition called "Watch Your Step".
This film was made before they'd even released a record, I have some session recordings by The Move from January 1966. These early sessions were recorded as three tracks for a Studio Session and five tracks for a Birmingham radio station. Most of the tracks are cover versions, but two are Roy Wood compositions.
The Studio Tracks are :- 1/ You're the One I Need. 2/ Winter Song (Roy Wood). 3/ The Fugitive (Roy Wood).
The Birmingham Radio Tracks are :- 1/ Is it True? 2/ Too Many Fish In the Sea. 3/ Respectable. 4/ Don't Hang Up. 5/ I can Hear You No More.
I'm not sure how to upload the tracks onto this forum from my computer, any assistance would be helpful, thanks.
Cheers,
Dave.

bluey there is no facility to upload the tracks directly to the forum, sorry. You could upload them to Youtube and link to them alternatively place them on a service like dropbox and again link to them so they can be downloaded by members.

Thanks for that information.
I'd like to share these tracks with members.
Here is a YouTube video featuring "The Lemon Tree" performing Ace Kefford's composition "William Chalker's Time Machine". Ace put this song forward as a possible single for The Move, the rest of the band rejected it and told Ace that Roy Wood is the only songwriter for The Move. Ace passed the song on to "The Lemon Tree" who were glad to release it, the record was released in March 1968, it was produced by Andy Fairweather-Low (The Amen Corner) and Trevor Burton (The Move). The Lemon Tree took their name from The Move's song "(Here We Go Round) The Lemon Tree", The Lemon Tree's drummer was Keith Smart, he became one of the drummers for Wizzard four years after song was released.
I hope you enjoy this psychedelic gem.
