That's simple, all three tracks recorded for that album: buildings have eyes, hello my old friend and mandalay...

"Buildings have eyes". It is the perfect naive pop song, I love it.

Nightrider, both "Destination Unknown" and "Matter of Fact" were recorded during the Balance of Power sessions in 1985 and '86.
Afterglow doesn't contain all of the missing tracks intended for the original Secret Messages double album, by the way.

Hello, My Old Friend. But wasn't that supposed to be a part of the Time concept album?

"hello my old friend" was supposed to be the final track of the secret messages double album.

Aside from "Beatles Forever": "Endless Lies", "Time After Time" and "After All". "No Way Out" is another Secret Messages era track that isn't listed in the poll, but is found on Afterglow.
Personally, I'm quite glad that "Beatles Forever" hasn't been included as a track on any official release so far, even if it was a very heartfelt tribute to Lynne's most important heroes.

No Way Out, Buildings Have Eyes and Mandalay are all worthy of Secret Messages (along with the other known outtakes, including Beatles Forever), but it's an absolute crime that Afterglow remains the only way to hear the majestic Hello My Old Friend - even then it's missing the short After All instrumental at the start, plus its intended "welcome to the show" climax has been faded out.

'Buildings Have Eyes' definitely. It's a great pop song, it would fit in well on SM.
'Hello My Old Friend' too perhaps but I'd like to hear it in a different arrangement. Just as 'Beatles Forever' is a personal tribute to Jeff's favourite band, 'Hello...' is a personal tribute to Jeff's home town - both songs go together.

My favourite secret messages outtake is "mandalay". To my ears this is a very unique song, jeffs vocals are special and I love the mood of this song.

I am surprised that "Destination Unknown" has got no votes. I remember people praising it a lot in a thread from the old forum.
