Elton John dominated round nine and will move on.
Round ten is between two legendary ladies...Madonna and Tina Turner.
(remember to vote in the poll or your vote won't count)

Hmm tough choice. I mean I'm not a fan of Madonna now but I liked the songs she used to do and I like Tina Turner, she's got a great voice so I think I'll go with Tina Turner

I respect Tina Turner but Madonna for me is the undisputed goddess of pop. In a category of her own.

Not really a fan of either, but I'll go for Madonna because I like more of her songs than Tina's.
Also I haven't forgiven Tina for her dreadful cover version of John Waite's "Missing You". Tina, how could you murder a loved one of mine!

They are both badass ladies but Madonna is the baddestass badass in my opinion. That woman has staying power!!! I like some of her more recent stuff a lot. I'm not nuts about the stuff from the 80's.
One of my faves from 2005 when she sampled ABBA:
Madge for me.

Another really easy one for me-- Tina all the way!! Such strength, beauty and talent!

Tina is at a bit of a disadvantage as she bowed out of showbusiness a while ago, but Madge just goes on and on.
Voting Madonna because although I'm not a huge fan I really love Like a Prayer and Ray of Light, plus you have to hand it to her for her endless reinventions and "do what I want, regardless" approach to life

I can count the number of Madonna songs I like on one hand. Tina gets my vote.

In my family back in the 1980s, all of us liked Tina Turner. Both of my parents admired her for breaking free from abusive husband Ike. My mom especially liked her overall assertiveness and self-confidence as a mature black woman in a vanity-driven industry (at least for women). I liked her voice and her songs in general, and so did my brothers. My dad, and really all of the men in the family, absolutely loved her legs, and would talk all the time about how good she looked!! They acted like they were really interested in the lyrics, and would stop to watch her videos when they came on. Looking back on it now, she was born in 1939, so she actually was only in her 40s during the 1980s, and that doesn't seem so old to me now.

I don't know. I guess Madonna because I liked her old stuff.

Love "Ray Of Light". I do think I saw Madonna perform this on Oprah's show!
