John Lennon won a close round seven and will move on.
Round eight is a battle between an R&B icon and a British rock legend...Marvin Gaye vs David Bowie
(remember to vote in the poll or your vote won't count)

Oh, no!! I don't think I can choose... Marvin Gaye... so cool, what a voice, what style, what a man! David Bowie... so cool, so stylish! Both of them! Gods! Amazing songs, amazing careers. My past self would choose Bowie but my present self would choose Marvin Gaye so I'll go with Marvin Gaye.

I just love that song! And he's out there dancing with his fans! You taking notes Jeff?
But, gotta go with David.

I had to flip a coin. I like them both, but for different reasons. David Bowie won the coin toss.

David Bowie. Especially as Chippa included my favourite DB song in the opening post.

I've got to say Gaye. He made some great records.

Bowie for me, a complete one-off and associated with lots of other musicians I love

Me! Marvin Gaye. I think Bowie is immensely overrated.
