Rosie Vela kinda ruined the "Zoom" shows, for me. Although, I think the "VH1 Storyellers" version was better than the one taped at CBS studios.
It felt like: The Jeff and Rosie show coming to you live at a venue near you! She is a big distraction. I know they were a couple at that time, but... makes it hard to watch.
This is my angle too - I know neither has the original band but Hyde Park is as near to a proper ELO gig as it's possible to have these days and the sheer joy of it just shines out. Plus the video backdrop kicks Zoom's arse.
Zoom (the gig and the album) struck me as much more of a solo project however it was packaged - it's a great album but to me it was never a bona fide ELO production, more like the sequel to Armchair Theatre.
And Rosie Vela irritated me up there stage front, I know she was only keeping him occupied till he meets me one day, but I don't need her shoved in my face looking pretty and having it all #grumpy
It's all good entertainment, it doesn't cost a penny

Horacewimp: We are all good thanks, just wishing I could go on a foreign holiday, it’s just not worth the risk with Covid and the possibility of a 14 day quarantine, we may do some short breaks in the U.K.
