Not even a wet weekend on this forum and you shower have me addicted! Anyway I hope I don't upset anyone by starting a thread (being so young here)! but I constantly have "me E.L.O. eyes on and I spotted this back a few months ago! In "48 hours" with (Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy) when Nick goes in to the Jail to talk to Eddie as he walks past the cells one on the inmates has a poster still of the OOTB stage on his wall! Check it out! Does anyone else have any E.L.O. at the movies facts? Not just the music in films because most of us have just watched the movies because we knew they were on it! But are there any rare appearance from the lads or rare tracks on other movies? Just interested? !!!

You are welcome to start a new thread whenever you like The only ones I know are the obvious music ones Joyride, Xanadu, American Hustle and I think Mr Blue Sky was in The Magic Roundabout. Not sure of any mentions in any films but I'm sure other members will know some.

I remember buying the Joyride soundtrack when it came out, through mail order, and somehow not realizing that the album didn't contain any new ELO music. I was very disappointed. For completists only, eh?

I haven't seen the film but 'All Over The World' features in the Simon Pegg movie Paul -
I did wonder whether this was the reason for including it in the Hyde Park set rather than because it was a Xanadu song. More people are likely to have seen Paul than Xanadu these days.

Isn't Livin' Thing played at the very end of Boogie Nights? When Mark Wahlberg reveals his enormous..asset...
I'm sure there's a funny quote from Jeff about it somewhere too, sorry to be so vague but I bet someone on here knows the details.

I seem to remember that the early ELO line-up once appeared in an unreleased science fiction movie named Freedom City. There's a mention of it in Bev Bevan's book; Jeff especially is described as struggling with the acting.

In the Jodie Foster movie The Accused there is a scene where she is in a record shop looking through the racks and you can quite clearly see Discovery in a rack behind her.Theres a scene in The Village People film Cant Stop The Music where a girl is holding some records and Discovery is the album at the front in her arms.

There was a british drama tv show in the early Eighties called Going Out about teenagers who have just left school and trying to find work there was a scene in a record shop and Discovery was on the wall behind as a promo item with some other classic albums.
