Jeff played three tracks at Hyde Park which as far as I'm aware have not been played live before, which was your favourite new track.

I loved them all. This is a hard question! Perhaps have to go with 'Steppin Out' - it was stunning, beautifully sung and played. A perfect arrangement. A stand-out in the set.
I have to praise 'All Over The World' too - a great opener that set the tone for the show.

Its gotta be steppin! He played it acoustic with Richard in the bungalow recordings and I was very surprised then. But last night blew me away! JeezeIit just cut through the set because I wasn't expecting it? Shame concerto didn't happen.

Steppin' Out for me, couldn't believe my ears when it came up. I never knew he hadn't played it live before but it was still magical.
I was hoping he might open with I'm Alive, jolly tune and would've been a bit of a laugh after all those years away from the spotlight.

Sorry, but Rock 'N' Roll Is King was actually played during the handful of shows ELO performed in 1986 - a recording of the Stuttgart version has only just been replaced by its more recent Hyde Park counterpart as a bonus track on my own 3CD "Deluxe Edition" of Secret Messages due to its vastly superior audio quality (even if Jeff did mess up quite a lot of the lyrics)! As much as I loved Steppin' Out, I don't hear any significant difference apart from the last part being missing, despite Jeff claiming it was a major improvement. My guess is that he's reworked it in the studio, perhaps as an addition to a possible follow-up to the Mr. Blue Sky album. Also, it was going to be tough coming after that beautiful stripped down Bungalow Palace treatment, so my vote's gone to All Over The World. I'm still amazed Jeff first remembered that Xanadu exists and then had the bravery to open his comeback set with a song from a project formerly considered the black sheep of his discography... I'm just puzzled as to why he dropped the key when his voice is clearly in fantastic shape. Maybe he was just pacing himself for later into the concert?

i preferred the acoustic version of Steppin' Out with just Jeff and Richard. although the Hyde Park version was pretty cool. but i'm going for All Over The World. the key change sounded good and for being a surprise opener also as far as i'm aware the first time he's played it live. also the atmosphere of the crowd who made it even more special, although my heart absolutely sank for not being there to witness my hero in action lol. but i am not alone there. plus the crowd responses nearly brought a tear to the eye cos they look like they are as die hard as us ELO fans who have sat around with headphones strapped to our heads for years and years still being blown away by particular chord changes lol. whoever was there at Hyde Park, i envy you like mad but you have a lot to brag about

I can't vote yet, but must add that "All Over the World" didn't make any sense to me as an opener and nearly fell flat because of it. Lynne "rebounded" quite nicely several times during the song after fumbling lyrics, though.

It was tedblight's birthday? Happy belated birthday ted!
I prefer the Bungalow Palace acoustic 'Steppin Out' - it brought out hitherto unheard elements. But hearing it live for the first time, although most fans expected it, was spine-tingling.
I can't help but think 'All Over The World' was chosen not for it's inclusion in Xanadu but the Simon Pegg movie Paul - that film probably brought a whole new audience to Jeff's music. Whatever the reason I can't imagine another song as a better opener.
