Saw this the other day. Amazing.
Thought Muk (and Uno's fishy) might enjoy watching this, a bit like us with clips of ELO performances.

This is simply incredible. It's fine art done by a small fish. The wonders that happen in nature and we don't even know about them.
If I were a female fish I'd definitely date that guy, even if I were from a different species.

That's so cool, and perfectly symmetrical, amazing. I wonder if he has the final result in his mind or if it's just instinctive?
How annoying for him that the current will wash it all away though, such a waste if a lady fish doesn't see it first.

Yeap! Plus I suppose lady fishes, like every female, must have those activities they take ages in completing (like painting their nails or washing their hair in the case of humans), so look if when she calls her for showing her his masterpiece she's in the middle of some of that lady stuff...

It's amazing that they get around to breeding at all really. Or maybe he just has to get macho and herd her firmly away from her girly things to admire his creation. Thus only the most persistent males get to pass on their genes. Of course, if he tries it on with a feisty lady fish who whacks him with her handbag and scares him off, this might not work.

Fesity lady who whacks people with her handbag and scares them off? This reminds me of a certain species which can be found close to the shores of Lake Erie...

The Ecological environment from living near the shores of the Great Lake Erie has caused my ancestors gene pool to turn into a highly evolved species. Of which I am a prime and perfect example.

The Ecological environment from living near the shores of the Great Lake Erie has caused my ancestors gene pool to turn into a highly evolved species. Of which I am a prime and perfect example. I have no doubt about that, but science demands that you back such claim with a piece of art, which of course has to be better than the one of the fish, because you are -allegedly- a more evolved species.

Don't wanna brag, but you asked for it. Our family tree started with Edvard Munch. He had a vacation home on the shores of Lake Erie for a time. During the off-season he would go back to Norway, where he died. In America, he left behind a wife and 6 children (that no one in Norway knew about and didn't want to know. Thought the Americans were a bunch of savages. According to family legend).
Here is my rendition of his, "The Scream". Took place at the family annual "Festival of Arts and Crafts by The Eire". This was started by my ancestors because they were all pretty good artists and wanted to show those fools in Norway a thing or two. As you can see, his genius is still flowing through our highly evolved species.

That's fantastic! Who knew species from the shores of Lake Erie had such artistic pedigree? Munch, no less! No wonder you could produce such a fine work of art. The picture shows some subliminal hatred for cats, which must be a last vestige of fishness in your blood, but despite that I'm sure you proved science that you are indeed a highly evolved species as you claimed.

I’m very touched and humbled, Helmut83. Thank-you. (Actually, I painted this in memory of Edvard's cat, Thor, who should have been named "stor fitte" because he was afraid of mice, (family legend).

Wow, so that's what you're getting up to when you lock yourself away in the shed - I did wonder. Personally I prefer your version to Munch's, it's completely brilliant
