Taken a couple of years ago in my old tank, you're right uno because of his size he regularly swims around inspecting his kingdom and woe be tide any fish who gets to his wafer first......

I just had to nip out and inspect our fishy, he's a lot lighter coloured than Muk and doesn't have the ridges along his body, do they develop as they grow older? I remember when we first had him the fish shop man said they usually die of boredom as they're so tough. This is obviously the reason he's survived so long in our dodgy tank.....

Wow. If I were a fish I'd behave well in his presence.

Ours has got a bit lighter these last few years, old age? He's always had the ridges as far as I can remember. One thing that stands out is how hard he feels,he's very rough to the touch too.

Wow. If I were a fish I'd behave well in his presence. His bark is worse than his bite! We have really small fish like neon tetras and he doesn't bother them at all...

Yes, ours is a gentle giant too and spends a lot of time tucked away. He only comes out now and then to hoover up the algae or pose for effect with all his fins out. But I do think the other fish respect him, as much as fish can do respect that is

The other day me and the wife were talking about Muk and when the day comes that he meets his maker, how should we dispose of him. Usually when a fish of ours dies,it goes down the loo but with Muk,that's impossible and I don't want to throw him in the bin, so the only options are to either give him a full state funeral and bury him in the garden (alongside the kids pet rabbit and guinea pig) or to chuck him on the Barbie along with the sausages and chicken....

Good idea! I could have him above the fireplace looking down on us forever more, but knowing me it will end up looking like Ronaldos statue...

Somehow I get the feeling that when Muk passes on Timeblue won't be entirely devastated. In fact he seems to be rather looking forward to it....
