I recorded this and just watched it, it is very informative and worth watching, here is the link to watch the first episode on catch up. Helmut83 you might recognise some of the sites and statues, near the end Bev is at the traffic lights near the curry house we went to. www.madeinbirmingham.tv/catchup/?c=entertainment&p=x4uqp8

Yes! I did notice about Jeff's star! I meant to bring this up! Thought maybe this was shot before.
The history is mind blowing, Bev just kept pouring out famous name after name.
I'm sure you knew many of the venues, did you know where they were?
What isn't said is the loudest.

That's right! Forgot you met the Custard King! Now I know he'll stop by. Warn Mrs H W.
Don't you know Bevey makes his custard in the basement and sells it in the retail section? It's all a front. God knows what really goes on in the basement. Maybe Bev will park across from it next show and treat his buddy?

I did recognize that weird building with the circles at 9:32, Horace, although by now I couldn't tell what it was. Also, that statue at about 7 minutes, with the Parthenon-like building in the background, I think we were there as well, weren't we?
I was glad knowing what each thing was at the time, but the whole trip was so much information in so little time it was not bound to last too much in my mind unfortunately.

That is the library where Jeff was presented with his star, we tried to get in but it was closed, to the left of the library is the Rep Theatre. That's Queen Victoria and Victoria Square with the Council House in the back ground, again it was part of our walking tour

I had it among my suspects, I remember it was a building with a very original shape but I had doubts between that one and the white one with all white balls on the surface. Sure we couldn't get in? I could have swore we did! I remember we went to a building which had the shape of a fightning pit, with many circular balconies facing an empty center, and as far as I can remember it was the library (it was full of books). Do you know what I've read recently? That the most visited place in England outside London was the Birmingham Library. Surprising. That's Queen Victoria and Victoria Square with the Council House in the back ground, again it was part of our walking tour Yeah, that definitely looked familiar, not sure whether you specified her role in the Industrial Revolution. I remember after that one we went to look at a statue guy that had a stick in his hand and said something about peace, that you suspected could have been the husband of Queen Victoria.

Maybe we did get in, I did the same tour with some relatives from Canada, perhaps it was closed then.
