Although new to the forum, I am an ELO fanatic since mid 70s. I moved from USA to Scotland teice in that decade and fell in love with ELO, ABBA, the Sweet, Bowie etc. I live in sunny Arizona and am a female rock/metal drummer. I patterned my drumming style from Bev Bevan and Mick Tucker and play a very large 70s style drumset!
I was able to see Jeff Lynnes ELO in September 2016 at the Hollywood Bowl (I took my 2 sisters) and it was the greatest concert I have ever seen, and Ive seen hundreds, including ABBA in 1979! Got pix and vids and of course, a bootleg T-Shirt.
I am getting a classic rock tribute band together now and am insisting we cover Dont Bring Me Down during our show! I am lucky enough to be Facebook Friends with Milton and Bev and enjoy seeing their posts.
I look forward to seeing your posts. Ive already seen so much fabulous information and hope to share when I can! Thanks again 😀
Cheers! Barb "Thee Animal" (former drummer for Whiskey Blu)

Welcome to the forum, abbagirl ! Join in and share your passion for ELO and Bev with us. wiggle You happen to not be the first Barb on the forum, and the other one goes by the even more intimidating nickname of "The Monster".

abbagirl, I LOVE 'Dancing Queen'! Makes me very happy! Can't keep me from dancing wherever I hear it, grocery store, restaurant, etc. Happy to see another US of Aer here (Ohio). Not very many of us, they have us surrounded. Beware of Uno and me -

Would you believe it? I once knew someone who was a fan of "Dancing queen" as well. Nothing too surprising, except he was a guy! Not just that; he used to go into pubs in Edinburgh and when they saw him coming in they played the song for him, and he started dancing out of his mind, with all the pub watching, and apparently he climbed on top of the tables and continued his show there. Yet more surprising is that he somehow managed to come back of all that, and he is now a well-respected member of his community...
