The shot of the village at night is golden. The sculptures are genius.

Nice pictures, Horacewimp. That narrow corridor in Venice seems the nightmare of claustrophobic people, did you pass through that thing? Nice masks too, very medieval.

Those are some exciting and dramatic clouds, Helmut83 , and that's a very picturesque storm. I love how it contrasts with the green landscape. The piggies are and unexpected bonus and the horsey photos are worthy of any photography magazine as are the flamingos and also the plumerillos. The cathedral is very beautiful and that bridge is lovely. The dog under the Pablo Acosta sign is a stand out. It’s very you!
Gorgeous pictures of Venice, Horacewimp , the fourth is very Canaletto. St Mark's Square looks so much better in a normal person's (if any of us are normal at all!) photos than it does in travel books; it looks more alive and real. I'm looking forward to the day when we can buy the Horace Wimp Venice Calendar, the picture of the colourful houses around the pump could be July perhaps? It's impossible to choose a favourite photo.
In contrast to bustling Venice, Malaga looks very laid back and chilled.

Glad you liked my photography efforts and pleased to have your feedback. Talking about picturesque, there's this friend of mine who has recently been to a very nice little town in Wales. I'm hoping maybe this friend wants to share a few pics with us and tell us a bit about the place... smileys-whistling-823718

Another interesting travelog! Great shots of Venice. Bridge of Sighs is a favorite, the elegant Carnival costumes, and shots of the Grand Canal. God, what a city.

I'm not surprised, Buttler and BSJ. In fact it's pretty typical not to have been to the most touristic points of your city, area or country. I live in Buenos Aires and I've never been to Caminito, which apparently is a must for every foreign tourist setting foot on the city.

Amazing photos from both Helmut83 and Horacewimp, thanks for taking the trouble to upload them all. Helmut83 - Those clouds are really cool, not surprised you snapped them. I love the piggies all cwtched up and the uncooperative but beautiful horses.Clever work with the frog pic, I didn't work it out. Some brilliant focus on the flowers and I agree that the landscape is very Welshy. The mysterious dog photo could grace the cover of a mystery novel - now all you have to do is write it..... Horacewimp - Really pleased to see Venice had some water back again when you visited, it's either had too much or not at all recently. The moody shots in the mist and in the evening (or early morning?) are gorgeous as are the colourful houses (is that Burano? I think we visited there too when we went and there were hordes of Japanese girls taking endless photos of each other there, blocking up the walkways) The whole place is like a painting, lucky you being able to get there and wallow in it and at Carnival time too. I've toyed with visiting Malaga in January as well, was there much going on? It looks great. Were those left over Christmas decorations? How nice to see oranges on the trees in what we consider to be winter. The beach is probably rammed in summer but you could enjoy it pretty much alone by the look of it. Bet you'd have had a shock if you'd been tempted to take a dip though
