Never heard of it, sounds like a goodie though. Gotta love the underdog. And the grandmother sounds eerily familiar...

Next Wednesday, as long as that volcano in Iceland keeps its lid on. Back on the 24th. No monkey business whilst I'm gone though, I could easily sneak into an internet cafe and spy on you doing unmentionable things to HLDG behind my back. Behind his back, even In return I promise to carry on our glorious true account of happenings at BP - blimmin' Real Life is piling up on me at the moment but I shall find a space to create.

In return I promise to carry on our glorious true account of happenings at BP - blimmin' Real Life is piling up on me at the moment but I shall find a space to create. If you noticed, I left a few loose ends for ya to riff on. Take your time. I still feel as if I'm living in a wine barrel. Besides, I have less screwing off time because... I got -GULP- can hardly say the word - JOB!
Job hunting – what a soul sucking enterprise this is and not even close to the field I was in (off-set printer).
No, we don’t take resumes; you have to apply on line. Cool. Two hours and a phone call to help line – system will not submit my application, I’ve had to fill it out three times now – help me please. For we folks of a certain age (I’m 49. Ohhhhh for Pete’s sake give it up! You’re 56!!) it's not good. I wanted part-time and not asking for benefits.
The feeling of experiencing a chapter from the Chronicles of His Highness Lord Dame Jeff Genius, occurred at an early interview. Oh, I know she was trying to be helpful, I do. Can I give you some advice? she asked. Sure! Well, you should be wearing a dress with high heels with nylons at interviews, we dress up here. I’m wearing, not cheap, dress pants with suite coat looking snappy. All I need is a gangster hat and cane and I’m Madonna. I am done here. Good-bye… A letter to the editor was sent to owner. No answer.
I wasn't living on the streets just yet and the love of my wretched life still fed me in exchange for domestic duties (Read into that however you wish) but I still refused to cook – might have been a deal breaker. I'm a risk taker!
I smell a new thread!

Napoleon reminds me of a young Will Ferrell, heh!
You have a JOB? Urgh, isn't it awful? You have my sympathy. And how very dare they criticize your outfit,I bet THEY weren't wearing anything earth-shattering. If I was interviewing and you arrived dressed as you were I'd have hired you right away on double pay. Nylons and heels would mean instant dismissal. There's a girl I work with who dresses like that and you can hear her clip-clopping up the corridor like a pony from miles away.
As for the story, I'm going to scrutinize the whole thing before probably ignoring it all and going off on a tangent...well maybe not...it's blimmin' midnight now and I've taken till now to catch up on everything since going out last night, I really must stop having a life away from the laptop.I'm going to try my bestest to post before Sunday, for reasons which may become apparent *mysterious face*

A POAM Snorts.
Ode To A Journey Well, they don’t wear pants On the beaches in South France But… they do wear brazers On the second floor of Sears
Thank you. Bows and exits right… left? Falls off stage.
Sears is an American dream come true department store where you buy your brazers and car batteries.
Have a fine time, me friend.

Love the sheer poetry of that poem, must say. Only, what's a brazer when it's at home?
Ta for the good wishes, we shall have a time which is "So Fine"* if I can help it
*lame ELO reference alert
