A Flock of Seagulls were great, I saw than at the Odeon Birmingham UK, it was the loudest gig I've been too, I blame them for my tinnitus, pardon Do you have a tinnitus? Me too! On my right year. Ever since a very loud gig too. Yeah I have tinnitus but more in my left ear, I've had it for 5 years or more. I had a hearing test earlier in the year which I passed but my hearing is not as good as it was especially in places like bars and pubs with lots of background noise, a symptom of getting old.

Same problem here. Annoying tinnitus/buzzing/ringing in both of my ears, due to loud music (Gigs) and loud noise (Factory). Unfortunately there isn't a good treatment for it. If you are lucky enough it will slowly disappear itself, otherwise you could try B vitamins for improving the inner ear microcirculation. If you are going to see a gig then buy earplugs A loud rock concert can reach 120dB (In front of speakers), when earplugs are used correctly, expect approximately 20dB of sound isolation, not so bad

More than disappearing, I think that you get used to it, but whenever there is silence you realize it is still there and quite loud.
Ever since that happened to me I keep a battery of earplugs and I take some every time there's a risk of being at a loud place. I would recommend both of you to do the same or the tinnitus could get worse.

Here is what Hubby does for relief (doesn't cure it): all hold for 15 sec's. >Extend chin by moving head up (15) and moving head down (15) >Stretch head side to side 5 times both sides (15) >Push with hand on back of head down to chest, turn chin toward armpits (15) >Head up, push chin straight back (15) Easy does it. If it hurts, back off. It might take awhile to limber your neck muscles. The sad thing is that he didn't get it from loud and fun concerts, he's pretty sure it was medication! Hope this helps!

Thanks, BSJ! How often does he do this? Once a day?

I met and had a few Lagers with Hugh McDowall about 20 years ago, I live close by to Hugh and we (our gang) used to go and have meals in his local pub, I talked to him on a few occasions, I had his autograph, he signed it on the waitresses order pad. He was always ready to have a chat, and is a very nice person. Our gang broke up and we never travelled there since.
I also sold a previously unseen 16mm film of Wishbone Ash in a Miami Sound Studio to Martin Turner the lead singer, I purchased it from Italy 18 years ago sold as ELO in concert, though when I reviewed it the film was Wishbone Ash filmed in about 1978, I put it on Ebay and informed the fan club. Martin Turner telephoned me and made arrangements to purchase it. He told me he never knew it existed, it was professionally filmed by a film company and included the band recording 4 songs. He later sent me a signed CD. I'm glad the film went back to its rightful owner.

Hello? Knock, knock. Do I sense an UNFRAMED autograph of an ELO member being kept in a drawer full of blown-out socks, like Horacewimp 's Jeff Lynne's? Hmmmmm.... ?
Horacewimp - go on, show off Jeff's autograph! Never get tired looking at that!
