Make sure you sample all the 50 beers orioles70 and give us your verdict on them I'll do my best, Horace. These days I'm more about quality than quantity. The event should be a lot of fun. Hear some tunes, drink some beers, tour a section of the Zoo when the band goes on break - rinse and repeat. Have to pace myself, but even with a small sample glass 50 is a tall order.. My daughter is coming with us and can serve as a designated driver since she doesn't drink. Despite that, she collects T-shirts from craft breweries (she's an artist and likes the designs).

Due to some unexpected developments, I sadly won't be able to boast that Jeff Lynne's ELO was the first rock concert I ever attended... I'm going to see Rain: A Tribute to The Beatles this weekend!!!

I’m going to see AFOS (A Flock of Seagulls) in concert tomorrow. I went to a small college, so we didn't get many name bands coming through. For one thing, we only had the basketball arena to use for concerts and it fit only about 1000 people. But I vividly remember seeing A Flock of Seagulls toward the end of freshman year (1981). And they had the crowd singing along to "I Ran". I just looked up the song and according to the internet, it came out in 1982. Perhaps my college memories are not as vivid as I thought. Could it have been sophomore year?

Both the single 'I Ran' and the eponymous album were released in 1982, but if they toured there in 81 then they may have had the songs already written.

Ahh, the Robin 2 is an excellent venue, did you go into Woody's Bar?
I notice the epic hairdo has left the scene completely but I hope the music was as good as ever?

We met up at Woodys bar but the actual bar in there serving beer was closed The music was great and the best thing was I was back home and in bed by 11:30pm

Mrs T and I saw The EL0 Experience last night and another great show by them. All the familiar hits and more were played such as The Diary of Horace Wimp, Latitude 88 North and Steppin Out. Particularly loved Horace Wimp complete with a video of Horace using Lego figures, very innovative! Two hours of great music and banter from the band and I would HIGHLY recommend them.
