Hadn't seen this clip before yesterday. It seems Violinski were guests on the BBC evening show Lena Zavaroni and Music, in May 1979. Look out for Michael de Albuquerque in the background!
Their co-star is British dancer and choreographer Wayne Sleep.

Brilliant! Never seen this before and a rare sighting of MdA too. Lena died far too due to her battle with annorexia.

Hadn't heard this one before. Composed by Mike de A - nice to hear his refined tones.

On Facebook, you get the 'groups you may be interested in' links and on mine today I saw 'Mik Kaminski - The Orchestra'. So I thought I'll send a message to it asking for certain details about the Violinski gig I saw in 1985 such as set list and band members. I thought I'd get a reply from a secretary or someone but lo and behold Mik answered me himself a couple of hours later! He couldn't help me with my questions but I thought it was good of him to personally answer me.

Wow, that must have felt nice - how come he couldn't answer you though? He might have been a bit miffed if you were asking about the other band members and not him

I just asked who was in the band that night and apart from Showdown and Clog Dance (the only 2 songs that I remember), what else was performed. He apologized and said that he couldn't remember as it was 35 years ago!

Fair enough I suppose - although I didn't think the line up had changed all that much over the years. I had a quick look on setlist.fm but there's only a gig from the year before in Leeds that looks anything like it and nobody has added the set list

Mik did say that the band had quite a few lineups in it's time...

Here's Violinski's first album in full. I'd never heard the final track, an instrumental, before.

And wow, what do you know, just found their second album in full as well. Plus a link to the helpful poster's page, not sure if the Zip download link works though. thebeachdude95.blogspot.com/
