How long was Mike de Albuquerque the singer in the band? About 11 months from May 1979 to April 1980.

Cheers for that Bluey The best way to get into the music of Vilolinski is the cd "Clog Dance The Very Best of Violinski". This cd was released in 2007 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the formation of the band.
Clog dance contains tracks from both "No Cause for Alarm" and "Stop Cloning About", it also has alternate versions and a rockier version of Clog Dance. If you want to buy it start looking as soon as possible as it's fast becoming a collectors item, I've seen used copies on Amazon for an asking price of almost £60.
I've scanned my front and rear covers, below.

Sorry mate I don't know the final line-up of Violinski.
I have tried to find out, but I've drawn a blank.

On the legit BEST OF they lost or misplaced the masters to a lot of the original tracks and used outtakes instead or left songs off completely rather than rip from vinyl. Thus, the REAL Best of tries to make up for that. I remember listening to NO CAUSE FOR ALARM at my future brother-in-law's house. He bought it first and I was the hard-core ELO fan. I would not have bought it if I had not heard it that day. VERY surprised that it was that good. Maybe we use 'real' in America more often than elsewhere, like the 'real deal.'

Does anyone have a nice rip of STOP CLONING ABOUT? The one I found online a few years ago was not terribly high quality. If someone on the forum is set up to rip vinyl, save it as FLAC or other lossless file and share it with me and I will De-Click it/clean it up. As another poster mentioned, the postage from the UK to the US has always put me off buying a copy. And back in my hard-core record-buying years many LP's sent from the UK would get bent corners on the covers due to less strong corrugated cardboard used for mailing.
I remember my UK Badfinger MAGIC CHRISTIAN MUSIC LP arriving that way in the late 70's. Otherwise it would have been in great shape. At my age now I'd just as soon have the music and not more things to store and fret about. Now that I became a grandfather recently I look at how many things I have collected that don't mean as much to me now.

I found a lesser/low quality rip online again (with glitches in RUBY RHYTHMS). It may be the same version I found a few years ago. Doing a quick listen I can see why I was disappointed. A better quality rip may change my view some, but definitely not as strong overall as the first LP. Not enough variety in the vocal stylings/approach.
