We drove past a road today called Tandy Dr. Even my mom noticed the relation to ELO, without me even having to tell her. A proud fan moment!

At tennis practice today, whoever was in charge of the music had Mr Blue Sky on their playlist. Yay!

I was working at Wembley Arena recently and came across this LD in one of their display cases which chronicle the history of the venue and some of the major artists who have appeared there over 50 years. Nice to see ELO merit a special mention among all that history. Attachment Deleted

I forgot to mention this before in between all of the travel chaos, but on the night before we left Arizona, I had an ELO dream. Guess what I had to eat for dessert that night? Apple pie! (as a side note, apple turnovers do not seem to have the same effect) In my dream, I was back in college for some reason, and somehow I had gotten ELO to play there? I was running around trying to get everything in order with the stage; I was freaking out because I thought the stage would be too small for them all to fit on it. I seemed to be the only one who was concerned about it. Unfortunately my alarm woke me up right as everyone was walking onto the stage (which I guess was large enough after all), bummer. I had set it for 5am to wake up with enough time to get to the airport.

Ah, the strange magic of apple pie! Thanks for the data BIuebird. We'll add it to our ELO dream study research!

True story from the workplace this lunchtime: In our kitchen area at work, we have a pool table. This lunchtime, our boss was taking on my colleague J in one of their regular games when I walked in. I stopped to watch Mr Boss lining up his shot. Seeing me watching, J started making some extremely silly gestures with his pool cue, behind Mr Boss's back. I couldn't stop giggling. Mr Boss missed his shot, and told us both off about it. He said sternly to J: "You're an evil man." Then he turned to me, and, yes, you've guessed it, added: "And you're an evil woman!" It took him some time to work out why I was beaming with delight at this particular appraisal.

I think we all want to know what these 'gestures' were... Let's just say, the Two-Headed Monster would have been impressed by his disciplinary technique... Send in your application, elophile. I'll have a word. Did I mention that on my team, in our office, there are 12 people - 11 blokes and me! I can't complain!

Dhani introduced a new song on the current ELO tour, and amazingly my local radio station played it this afternoon. The video came out a couple of days ago. it's too bad that the dog isn't catching an ELO frisbee - like the inspiration for the ELO spaceship but perhaps Dhani is being more subtle? could the dog be "Holding on Tight" as he travels "All Over the World"?
