Based upon a suggestion by @secretmessenger I will run some polls to find out if we prefer the original or the alternative version of songs.
The first is the album version of Do Ya against the Unedited mix which was on Flashback.

'Do Ya' has never been one of my favourites and I'm surprised at it's popularity. Especially with Jeff himself. And especially as it's a Roy-era song. If I have to choose I'd go with the album version and hope Jeff will just stop messing with it! Leave it alone Jeffrey! How many versions have you got?

I agree Queenofthehours not one of my favourites either.

Do Ya isn't high on my list either, but since ANWR was my introduction to ELO, it forms part of my formative impression of what makes ELO, the big psychedelic rock facet I guess.
The unedited mix does have its charms - its more immediate, defined sound, and it has more cowbell.
But I'm also one who prefers the album version.

I like the alternative mix, it just sounds a bit more rough and ready.

Sorry I'm late to this party, voting for the polished album version because the alternative sounds too drawn out for me. Short and snappy wins the day
