It was time for a freshen up! Here are some newly matted and framed ELO adverts, and promo posters for record stores. Some of the adverts were previously done. The light bulb ads are two different concert announcements. Low ticket sales canceled gigs, so another ad had to be created.
I had to shoot this one in low light, windows.
Who is that in the hall all grumpy because he's been kicked out of C C? Sorry, Damey no room in the new arrangement. (And Dave hates that picture! He said if I die before him, he'll bury it with me. Cool!)
And a shout-out for Dave!

Well there is just one word for this and it's Classy, what a total triumph of interior design, me Snooks Obviously it's mainly down to the Welsh pinny but must admit the ELO stuff is pretty darned impressive, especially the Eldorado poster and of course the Mother of the Year. Whatever is up with Dave that he can't see the total gorgeousness there? And I thought he was the perfect man.....

The placement is all Dave. He says, Thanks, Toots!
That pinny is as good as a flag. I love it, Toots! The Mother of the Year advert is hens teeth. Took me over 4 years to find one at not an obnoxious price and in good shape. As well you know, right at the first "Mr Perfect" pitched a bitch about the first one. Said it was something you'd win at a carney side show. The goober.
The Eldorado, Out Of The Blue and Arm Chair are old, new stock. Still wrapped. I let Mike, the framer, do the dirty work opening them. Yes, the Eldorado is the coolest. I need more wall space to properly display it. Reason why Damey was kicked to the hallway. What the 'ell ya gonna do?

Wow, BSJ, what an impressive collection, and so beautifully displayed! And I noticed you've got your portable speaker from the tour there by the window too! Makes me feel like I need to step up my game now, I haven't even got my Out of the Blue album poster hung up yet...

Thank-you Grroosss! Choosing what to frame was the hard part. No! doing it was the royal pain! HA!!! Get crackin' Two years in a row we were given those crappy speakers. The best bit is the box.

Wow, BSJ, what a fab insight into the Command Central Hall Of Fame I can't even come close to emulating your decor. But....this is one area of the board that hangs on my wall, next to my laptop. So this is part of what I see when I look up from posting on the forum: Bonus point for any forumhead who can identify the gentleman in white, in the bottom left hand pic. He's a musician as well, not British or American. If the pic isn't clear, he's stroking a kitty who's curled up on a chair.

BSJ That’s quite impressive!! I haven’t got my OOTB album poster or tour poster up yet...but I did rearrange (aka take half the stuff off) my bulletin board to pin up my tickets from the concert. I’d love to get more ELO posters for my room, two is a pitiful number, but first off the only wall space left uncovered in my room is the ceiling (actually a prime spot for a nice ELO poster, on the ceiling right above my bed... ) but mostly because I’m already broke from buying vinyl, I don’t have any money left for posters, let alone their frames, ha! vlogdance the picture wasn’t clear—I was going to guess John Lennon, knowing his love of cats, but then i suppose that can’t be, since he’s British. A real riddle!

vlogdance to start with I thought it was Louis Clark but he is British, zooming in the picture it seems to say “thanks”?? I think and a name which looks like Kris or Kruse?

Heh, nice guesses, but it's not Louis or John. (The watermark is the name of the photographer/agency, HW!)
A couple of clues: this musician is best known for playing keyboards. And he composed the soundtracks to two brilliant 80s films, one of which won him an Oscar.

Vangelis?

Spot on, Horace, it's Vangelis. Top Greek musician and composer. The genius who wrote the scores for Chariots Of Fire (my favourite film) and Blade Runner (another great one). And by the look of it, a kitty fan, as well. No wonder he's made it to pin-up status in my home.
