Hey. Just wanted to let you know Bev is a guest on my podcast “Sending Signals” this week. He was pretty candid and open. We talk about his disdain for ELO’s debut album, recording Eldorado, the tracks left off Time, his regrets about forming ELO part 2, writing credits for drummers, and various other stuff. Let me know what you think!

I get the feeling that Bev is trying to build bridges with his admission that ELOpt2 shouldn't have been called that and that the band missed having a truly great songwriter such as JL but unfortunately Jeff is a stubborn old mule and won't play ball.... (is it me or does Bev sound EXACTLY like he did 40 years ago? his voice has not changed one bit)

I was quite shocked how candid he was about ELO part 2. Didn’t really know what to expect on that front. Thanks so much for listening! If you get a chance there’s members of Genesis, The Zombies, Counting Crows, The Divine Comedy, E Street Band and more on previous episodes.

I always enjoy listening to Bev. Interesting he didn't know about the new Secret Messages release. Thanks, eldorado. By the way, I like your opening.

I'm surprised Bev remembered songs like Bouncer, and Julie Don't Live Here. And I'm glad he opened up about the ELO Part 2 thing. Maybe he's right when he said they should have called the band something else.

Thanks for sharing that. To me Bev sounds like someone at peace with the world, albeit with a few regrets. How much input Bev had on those records we’ll never know for certain. What we can be certain of is that Jeff has never even come close to replicating that gorgeous drum sound...IMHO.
