Jackie blew the Operator away, and moves on.
In round 14, the bouncy pop smash hit Love Will Keep Us Together goes nose to nose with Paul Young's lovelorn 80's classic Everytime You Go Away. Be sure to vote in the poll or your vote won't count!

"Every Time You Go Away." I like Paul Young's version, but I prefer by far the very bluesy original version by Hall and Oates. Edit: I just watched PY's video. He's a cutie and he knows it full well! Lots of energetic dance moves, too! I got tired just watching him! lol

Young's rendition of this song embodies the 80's for me. A lot of that era was a good ride.

Young makes me feel old, but I’ve voted for him.

Despite having a lovely fretless bass part played by fellow Cardiffian Pino Pallandino...i will go for Captain and Tennille as it is a better song IMHO.
Now if you had put on Toast (by street band (PY on vocals) ..i may have voted for that ...a though in truth it was novelty record...

dillwyn is right. 'Toast' is THE Paul Young song , I love it.
Although I'm a fan of the Paul Young choice and find it immensely catchy I find Captain and Tennille even more catchy.

I've also gone for the Captain and his crew. Well, he is a fellow Dragon.

I think I like EYGA more. But they're both good pop songs.
