You know what? I reckon OMD are heading down the same road as ELO, They were big for a while but were never cool, then they went into hiding and fractured into two bands then a reformation of sorts in the last 10 years or so and BINGO! back on the scene and getting rave reviews everywhere...

You, Sir Horace Wimp, show who you are and your love for the band in this photo. Good man.

Same here,I've liked them since 1980 and only saw them for the first time last year which was only a short show supporting A-ha. The other week was the best gig I've ever been to (yes, even better than ELO) a full blown greatest hits and more show, combined with the soundcheck earlier in the day and only standing a few feet from them. Plus seeing the support act and meeting them afterwards, Magical!

The artwork is a bit of a letdown imo but it doesn't detract from my opinion of the album itself. It came out at the time when I was really getting into ELO (exploring their history, band members and finally getting to see them) So this album has fond memories for me. Yes most people I know disliked the cover (well all of them.... but I liked the singles artwork of Getting to the point and so serious. Had an Ultravox, OMD feel about them. Two great bands as well. OMD are my 2nd fave group

OMD are a brilliant band, great to see them touring again. Must have a listen to Sugar tax, haven’t heard “sailing on the seven seas” in years. Then start at the beginning, well nearly the beginning, Architecture & Morality.

My first album was A&M. Don’t know why I didn’t buy them. Have been listening to them steady since mentioning them to timeblue. Great band, very underrated. Sadly I missed them last year. Couple of mates went to see them said they were brilliant.
