I think it is great horacewimp, just one pet peave, but not a big deal. The title "Jeff Lynne's ELO Forum", since it not really Jeff Lynne's forum, but yours, maybe it should have a different title? It seems like "Horace Wimp's ELO Forum" would be more appropriate on a couple levels, one it reflects you the one who started it, and two, even if you weren't, since it's a famous ELO song, "Horace Wimp's ELO Forum" would make total sense and be a kind of nice and humorous touch for the fans. All that said, I'm not telling you what to do, and I will not object if you stick with the title or go with a totally different idea than my suggestion. Just wondering what Jeff Lynne would think of finding out is was "Jeff Lynne's" ELO forum! Whatever you do or don't do regarding that, thanks again for the forum and keep up the great work; we all greatly appreciate it! Jim PS What if people provided additional suggestions for a possible forum name, and then you made a poll of it and we voted on it? Just an idea, feel free to ignore! The domain name is now set in stone to alter it would mean developing a new board again. You are probably right about the title, I will change it, it is only really cosmetic. Cool biz, hw, you nipped it in the bud now, so that the issue won't come up down the line. Even if it is just cosmetic. I like it: "Horace Wimp's ELO Forum". How cool!!! Jim

Hey, Horace! I'm asking myself if outsiders (say, people who hadn't been on the previous forum) have any way to find out about this one.
I mean, I don't remember well, but I believe I got to the previous forum one day that I went to Google and typed "ELO forum" or something like that, or googled some other information about ELO and ended up in the forum. But what about this one? I have just googled it and only the Chippa forum appears. Is it necessary to pay Google a fee to appear on their queries when someone searches for something related?

I think the longer this forum is running the more likely it will get listed by Google, they send out bots I believe to search the internet. Maybe one of our members has more experience of this and confirm? I have found a link and asked google to track the site, we will see what happens. Chippa has kindly listed us on the ELO Forever forum, I have emailed Lynn Hoskins today to see if she can inform her database of our existence I haven't heard back as yet. If anyone has any other ideas of spreading the word then let me know.

The list of members so far is looking impressive. It's great to see familiar names here.

It's an interesting thought... The domain name is great anyway. It ties in with the moniker Jeff seems to be using now (if the Hyde Park concert is anything to go by).

Even though I wasn't on the other forum that much, it felt a little strange to read Chippa's message... but thank you Horacewimp. Also, great to see many of you guys back!

Please let me know what you think and I'll do my best to help I was thinking something similar, but it seems like all that would need to be done would be the sending out of emails to the webmasters of other prominent ELO related sites, asking them to list this forum in their own link sections... and then returning the favor.
