Every night for the last six weeks, I've spent several hours searching through classical artworks for the unidentified art pieces on the Secret Messages cover. It will be difficult to proceed on my third novel unless I can find this information. The central cherub and the two women to the far left continue to elude me. Tonight I reviewed the complete works of Edward Burne-Jones (1833-1898, British) and eleven other Romantic painters. I enjoyed Burne-Jones's Maxfield Parish-like style. Among his works, I found a series titled "Days of Creation." Of course I went directly to "The 3rd Day." Lo and behold, I was staring at the inspiration for the British album cover of On the Third Day.
At least my quest has yielded an intriguing ELO factoid, but it doesn't help me with the book. ::shrug:: What is the opinion of the experts in attendance?

Sorry to appear confused but how was this the inspiration?

I think StrangeMagic is referring to this image of the band members holding a globe?

I think StrangeMagic is referring to this image of the band members holding a globe? Yes, Horacewimp! I thought it would all be clear when I said "British album cover." My apologies.
