Yes, this might be new to you but you read right: a hologram of Roy Orbison will be touring through the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, along with a backing orchestra and other musicians. www.eventimapollo.com/events/detail/roy-orbison-the-hologram-tour#Xf4gZG0TmsxMLolz.97As you would expect, the range of reactions is as wide as it could get, with many opinions on both extremes. So what do you think of this? Is it awesome that technology allows us to enjoy the music and image of this legend in a way never seen before? Or is messing with the Big O in such a way a sacrilege and he should be left alone to rest in peace?

I don't think it's sacrilege, but it is a bit odd, like a ghostly tribute concert...

I'm sorry but that's just plain creepy. RIP Roy Orbison.

You see a lot of these hologram shows things about these days. I personally think they are a little creepy, a bit weird and a whole lot about money-making.
I would have loved to see real live Roy live and so would a lot of people but this soulless show only serves to make the pain of missing him worse - so near yet so far away.
There's really not much point in a live show as there can be no audience interaction. I would rather see a fake Roy than a Roy done fakely.
If I want to see a Roy in front of me I'll watch Wilbury videos, if I go to a gig I'll want autographs - and whose going to do them at a hologram show?
However I fully appreciate the fact that maybe a lot of the people here would love to go see the show. I'd even trot along if it was in my home town but it's not worth enough for me to travel or spend the expensive ticket prices for something that isn't real.

IMHO you'll have to get used to it.
ABBA are doing it later this year and they are all still alive. ... currently it is a fad but eventually it will be a whole lot cheaper than carting expensive acts /entourage around the world

The opposite would be Max Headroom doing a in person live tour.

I'm not sure what to think of it, the Elvis version is really popular but I'm not sure I'd pay to see a show like that. It might suit some fans though, so good luck to them. Fabulous new user pic BSJ, Damey looking particularly dewy-fresh there, was it after one of your pampering sessions? Love what you did with his hair

Oh, thank you me unomusette! I know his hair is a bit poofy, but after the ninja facial and pedicure, he insisted. Rare he's in a good mood.

Yes, but when he is it's usually because of something you've delighted him with, admit it
Did you get a good price for the nail clippings on Ebay?

Less of such talk, you don't get a gold rosette and a 99.9% rating by not selling treasures on there - now, where's me share?
