Claypool Lennon Delirium was on the Steven Colbert show last night - I'm thinking how they are really nailing the Beatles pychedelic sound and how the guy even looks like John Lennon. Silly me, I didn't realize it's Sean Lennon's band. Hadn't heard anything from him in ages.
check it out

Here's some well sixties-tastic footage of the Dave Clark Five that was posted on Twitter this evening
Groovy, baby!

November 1963. You're a year and a month younger than me Timeblue By my maths I'm only 2 months younger! I was born Jan '64 and that's when Glad All Over was number 1 in the UK.

Ignorant question: is "Glad all over" the Carl Perkins song?

Ahm, OK. Seems like we are talking about two different songs with the same name then.

Weird Al is going to tour this year and he's going "full Jeff". I will not be attending. But who knows, it could be fun for those with lots of time and money. <<“Weird Al” Yankovic is returning to the road in 2019, where the musician will employ a full symphony orchestra for every show. Unlike this year’s Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour – where he played a set consisting almost entirely of his lesser-known original tunes – he’ll be breaking out all the classic parodies this time. “We’re going directly from my most scaled-down, low-key show ever to my most full-blown, over-the-top extravaganza ever,” Yankovic wrote in an Instagram post announcing the tour. “We bringing back the costumes and the props and the big video screen.”>>

I went with my son to see Weird Al a couple of years ago. It was loads of fun! With my little lyric rewrite habit that I've developed recently, I have renewed appreciation for the Alster. He definitely puts on a good show!

Is he parodying Jeff with this tour?

I think he's means Al's throwing everything in plus the kitchen sink. Dave, who "troops" as Star Wars characters, mainly a Storm Trooper, has been on stage with Weird Al twice. During Al's Star Wars song he has Stormtroopers and a Darth dancing in the back. I can't stand him.
