there are songs that are influenced by ELO and songs that unintentionally sound like ELO, but some are purposely done as tributes
my favorite is by L.E.O. on the Alpacas Orgling album the whole album is good, but this one hits closest to the mark, imo

track 1, Changing Man, from Paul Weller's Stanley Road Album they sample 10538 Overture and go off on all manner of tangents I like it.

David Myhr is new to me. His bio mentions Beatles, Wilbury's and Jellyfish - all favorites of mine. Thanks for posting it, Sundown! www.davidmyhr.com/bio/

Nice idea for a thread. Ill add this one as my contribution, its a fun video as well. That song is almost exactly like something from Jeff. Almost. It's lacking the Jeff-sparkle. It's amateur ELO (amateur here is meant in a positive way, "recreational" rather than "slipshod") because there's only one person who can get the sound totally right. But David is close.

Thanks for posting it, Sundown! www.davidmyhr.com/bio/David Myhr was in the band The Merrymakers, who had a big following among power pop enthusiasts. The ELO influence is pretty apparent on this song
