Came across this earlier, various artists who have come together to re-create some Beatles classics and remind us of how brilliant those songs were and very much still are. Including the delicious Matthew Bellamy of Muse on the frying pan bass - he's since mentioned how doing this has shown him what a brilliant bass player Macca is www.instagram.com/drpeppersjadedheartsclubband/

Good share, unomusette! This is awesome. I had a blast with it. Many songs from the first era (you could call it Beatlemania). At times we get so used to the Beatles songs from having heard them a million times (plus the fact that the early recordings weren't too polished) that a cover works better to rediscover the brutal beauty of those songs. "Please please me" gave me the chills and it's not even a favourite of mine. And Mr. Bellamy seems to be very much into it.

Those are great. Just goes to show that truly good songs are timeless.

I really like the way they've captured the early sound as Helmut83 says. I think the other musicians are probably pretty famous too, I've kind of heard of Miles Kane for a start. But you can tell they all really love the songs and are playing them mostly to please themselves which produces just a joyous sound. Here's another clip including Muse's drummer Dom Howard, playing on his birthday the other day http://instagr.am/p/BcdXbLFDCp4

Not so far To start with it was just Matt in the Jaded Hearts Club, I think he and Dom have homes in LA but Chris lives in the UK and only visits. However they're playing the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas gig tonight so whilst he's over there who knows what might happen? Adding the Wolstenbeast to any musical project can only improve it
