One of the sections of Richard Tandy's onstage keyboard setup was actually a fully functioning barbecue, with a row of sausages instead of keys. Yummy!

While recording The Fall on the Xanadu soundtrack Bev's drums caught fire. To try and put the fire out Bev keep on hitting the drum set faster and faster but the fire still took hold. Not to miss a trick Jeff carried on recording and the whole event can now be experienced on the track Drum Dreams.

The running length of The Battle of Marston Moor is unknown, many a person has tried to sit through the whole track to time it's length but so far not one has succeeded in listening to the complete song.

Of course - how else could you have played one of the lead characters? Which one was it again? Not the one in the wheelchair, obviously, he was played by Melvyn Gale just before he joined ELO.
