Peter Gabriel wins and will advance.
Round thirteen is between one of America's premier singer/songwriters, and a British guitar god.

I know Eric was a friend of George's (like a lot of famous people including my favourite Python) but have to say I know two songs think they were both written about Pattie (George's ex wife and Eric's future wife) Layla and Wonderful Tonight and that's about it, I heard one song he wrote about his son dying in tragic circumstances? Can't remember the name of the song, I do have a soft spot for Call Me Al (the story behind it, is funny) and I do think he was a great writer (he wrote a lot of the Simon and Garfunkel songs) so think I'll go with Paul Simon (just about!) {Spoiler} In case you didn't know, my favourite Monty Python member is Michael Palin

Paul Simon for me, I like more of his songs and Eric C concentrates too much on bluesy stuff for my taste.

I like both guys, but the song you posted to represent Paul is one of my grandma's favorite songs ever , so I couldn't vote against it.

I heard one song he wrote about his son dying in tragic circumstances? Can't remember the name of the song That would be "Tears in Heaven". Hey, Wolfie, even though you've been trying to hide it I'm perceptive enough to get the impression that you might have a certain taste for Mr. Palin from Monty Python. Don't worry, I'll keep it secret.

Paul Simon. Amazing songwriter and, I agree with Uno here, Clapton -as much as a virtuoso instrumentist he was- went too much to the bluesy side for my taste.

I seriously hope that Jeff is still your #1. I'll have to check the handbook but I should warn you that I believe if Jeff is in fact no longer your number one man it's grounds to have your drooling privileges revoked. Are you willing to re-pledge your unending love and loyalty to Jeff, above all others, or do I need to find the handbook? Sincerely, elophile YOPJLDC member in good standing

Not meaning to chime in uninvited, but to be a real Drooler you've got to have the object of your drooling as your #1 priority. smiley-music025
