'Confusion' hasn't been done. I'd like to hear that.

Confusion was played on the Time Tour and during the handful of live dates in 1986, but only as part of a longer hits medley - the full standalone version is something I'd love to hear Jeff finally tackle, preferably with Richard on the Yamaha CS-80...

Just to update this thread, we can now eliminate 'Xanadu' from the list... When I saw him in Oakland we got Xanadu and All Over the World, I am not a big Xanadu fan, although it did not hurt the experience very much

I can't believe Jeff is sticking to basically the same set tour after tour. He needs to acknowledge that it's hardcore fans who actually buy ELO releases
The biggest crime is not playing anything from the masterpiece Time. It's insane. I know Prologue/Twilight was toured but he should have kept it in the set.
At least he had Secret Messages in the set at one point and that was a highlight of the set, even with the rather bland backing band he is using.
I'd like to see All Over The World got rid of forever. I'm Alive is a nicer song melody-wise if he wants to represent anything from Xanadu.
Give some of the ANWR and Out of the Blue tracks a miss too and ditch the dreary Roll Over Beethoven which has never come close to the album version.
So, this list doesn't include solely hits but here are some I'd like to see in. I call it the Flying Pig setlist :
In Old England Town Momma Ma Ma Ma Belle Eldorado Overture/CGIOOMH/Boy Blue/eldorado mini suite Waterfall One Summer Dream Tightrope Mission Shangri-La It's over Across the border Steppin out Ticket to the moon Yours Truly The way life's meant to be Julie Here is the news The lights go down 21st century man Hold on tight Secret messages Hello my old friend Rock and roll is king Heaven only knows So serious Endless lies (BoP version) This is Love End of the Line Every little thing

I agree with 80% of that, Time IS neglected and since it regularly tops the fave album poll it remains a mystery as to why Jeff ignores it so much. I still like AOTW though and since it's only been done live since 2014 it still remains fresh (although I'd like I'm Alive and The Fall to be done too just so they will be two more hits crossed off the list!) My loathing for ROB has been mentioned a few times too. That's a good list of potential songs to be sung but, like you said 'pigs will fly' ....

I saw them in Houston this year and in Birmingham, Al in '78 with the classic lineup. Both were awesome but I give the edge to the new ELO.

I have to agree with mrradio I'm afraid. Apart from Lee Pomeroy on the bass, there are no 'characters' or personalities in the band, I wrote in another thread about missing the likes of Hughie and Mik doing their thing. I can't say that in the future that I will be talking about the female cellists and violinists in the same context. The current band are all superb musicians but it is just Jeff and a backing band for me, not ELO...
